NTPC Green Energy IPO: NTPC Green Energy Limited has filed Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) for proposed initial public offer (IPO) and raise funds through an offer of equity share capital having face value of Rs. 10 per share via initial public offering.

Promoters of NTPC Green Energy are President of India acting through Ministry of Power, Govt of India and NTPC Limited and holds 100% stake in the company.

Key Details:

  • Initial Public Offer comprising of a Fresh Issue of Equity Shares aggregating up to Rs 10,000 crores.
  • IDBI Capital Markets, HDFC Bank, IIFL Securities, Nuvama Wealth Management have been appointed as lead merchant bankers for the proposed IPO.
  • It has appointed KFin Technologies Ltd. as Registrar and Share transfer Agent.
  • Company is yet to finalize issue size and some other important details relating to the IPO.

About Company:
Established in 2022, NTPC Green Energy is a subsidiary of NTPC Limited (PSU). It is the amongst one of the largest renewable energy public sector enterprise (excluding hydro) in terms of operating capacity as of Q1FY25 and power generation in FY24. Its enewable energy portfolio encompasses solar and wind power assets with presence across multiple locations in more than six states which helps mitigate the risk of location-specific generation variability. Current operational capacity was 3,071 MW of solar projects and 100 MW of wind projects across six states as of Aug'24.
