SaaS Company PowerStores raised US$ 2 million

Goa based SaaS Company PowerStores raised US$ 2 million from Unknown investor based in Hong Kong.

Story published in Yourstory.in states that, 

PowerStores is a Goa based SaaS DIY (Software as a Service Do-It-Yourself) e-commerce and website platform that allows businesses to easily create and manage content and e-commerce based websites. Founded in late 2011 by Cory York and Indrajit Chowdhury, PowerStores was started from the revenue generated by SociaLinked (complete story). In an announcement, PowerStores has raised funding from foreign investors.

The amount hasn’t been disclosed but sources close to the development inform that around USD 2 million dollars has been put in the company. Cory says that the money has been raised from a Hong Kong based Super Angel and will be used to grow the team, market the product and expand operations globally.
